Gloria comic book

Bluewater’s Productions will be releasing a new comic book about the life of author and feminist activist, Gloria Steinem. Female Force: Gloria Steinem is released on September 11 the comic book will be available in print and digital.

Gloria Steinem is an author, politician, activist, speaker, editor and infamous feminist! From creating Ms. Magazine to inventing Take Our Daughters to Work Day, Gloria Steinem is constantly surprising us! Learn the ins and outs of Gloria’s eventful life from this new Bluewater comic book.

Melissa Seymour writes the 32-page comic book with art by Angel Bernuy.

These biographical comics, written by some of the most talented writers in the comic world and beyond, deliver an informed and illustrated look into the lives of these figures.

Bluewater has also used their Female Force series as an outlet to broaden awareness on important challenges that face many people. In “Female Force: Carrie Fisher,” the former Star Wars actress bravely shares her lifelong struggle with bipolar disorder. Proceeds from the comic book sales are donated to Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, Connecticut, a facility specializing in mental disorders. Likewise, Grease star Olivia Newton-John uses her “Female Force” issue as a platform to discuss her fight against breast cancer and raise awareness for the devastating disease.

Female Force has been embraced by the media and featured on several television news outlets including The Today Show, Fox News and on CNN. The series has also been featured in many publications such as Forbes, Ms. Magazine, and People Magazine.
