Pistolfist Legacy Lives On

Fans of the historic super-hero Pistolfist – whose critically-acclaimed
mini-series wraps up this week – will be seeing much more of the radical
revolutionary in the not-to-distant future. As a matter of fact, the
Pistolfist legacy itself is about to explode.
"Right now, we're working on a wild, action-packed crossover comic
featuring Pistolfist and The Blackbeard Legacy," said creator J.S.
Earls. "We're having a blast with this adventure and I really think
comic fans are going to enjoy it too. It's got a little bit of everything."
"I'm equally excited about Pistolfist appearing in Dave Ryan's
mega-crossover War of the Independents which features The Maxx, Shi,
Mr. Monster, The Badger, Zot, Cerberus, Captain Canuck, Madman and a
multitude of other indy favorites. It's an honor to have Pistolfist
among so many other great characters."
Pistolfist will also be in a third cross-over, but this one will be
a little different. Earls explains, "Over the last year, we've
been discussing the idea of Pistolfist being a 'legacy' character. The
basic idea is there is a different Pistolfist for each generation –
one for the Civil War, World War I, Vietnam, the cold war, etc. – and
now a new, modern hero will carry on the Pistolfist legacy. This new,
modern Pistolfist (whose costume was designed by fans) will debut in
a special crossover with Isis that will be co-written by Ben Avery of
Marvel's Hedge Knight."
"As you can see, there's a lot to be excited about. And I haven't
even gotten into our fun, little video game (now online) or some of
the movie discussions we've been having. So keep your eyes and ears
open. You're sure to see a lot more Pistolfist in the years to come!"
