FILMMAKER'S "THE CLAW AND FANG" IN STORES THIS WEEK WITH COVER BY DAN BRERETON
Bluewater Comics is proud to announce the launch this week of "The Claw and Fang" the first comic book project by filmmaker M. E. Kutcher. "The Claw and Fang", written by Kutcher with art by Matias Basla, will be a monthly 4-issue mini-series from Bluewater Comics. "The Claw and Fang" is the dark story of an MMORPG gamer named Justin. Hoping to fill an unknown void in his mundane existence, Justin has given up on life in the real world choosing to live in a virtual one. The Firewoman is an ancient Shaman who has know Justin in previous lives. She forces the eternal Warrior King back into the real world when she bestows Justin with the ancient relic that controls the fate of two worlds. A relic promised to a powerful demon that has returned to earth after being banished to the Darkness for over three thousand years. This is a unique spin on the standard video gamer story. Kutcher tries to show why some people become so immersed in the virtual world and the consequences of that life through the suffering and redemption of the main character Justin and his journey to be the hero he so desperately wants to become. "The Claw and Fang" attempts to reach a new audience of young MMO gamer fans rather than traditional comic book readers. Kutcher is new to creating comics, driven by his experience working on two feature films, "Bulletface" directed by Albert Pyun and "Kung Fu Joe" directed by Glen Berry, he wanted to move away from the production process over to the creative side. Issue #1 will have four covers: cover A by Dan Brereton, cover B by Matias Basla, cover C by G.M.B. Chomichuk and cover D by artist Steve Babb.
