BLUEWATER ADDS EINERSENS 'LADY SAGA' TO FAME TITLES
Pop culture artist Brian Einersen is adding his edgy comic strip "Lady Saga" to Bluewater Production's upcoming bio comic book series FAME. Starting, appropriately enough, with Bluewater's biographical treatment of Lady Gaga in May, reprints of Einersen's cult comic will be an added bonus feature to each issue of FAME. "We are trying to add some extras into our books to give the readers more for bang for their buck", stated Bluewater publisher Darren G. Davis. "Lady Saga is the perfect fit for the FAME series. When I saw this book announced I thought it was such a cool idea." "Lady Saga" burst on the scene last year and received considerable worldwide attention. It is an over-arching spoof on pop culture playing off the outrageous persona of provocative recording artist Lady Gaga. Einersen said, "I have been drawing fashion designs for many years and, on occasion, cartoon characters from the world of pop culture. I thought of creating a comic book character that was artistic, in vogue and tailored toward the world of fashion. I mixed fashion and pop culture into one project called the 'Lady Saga' comic book/zine. 'Lady Saga' provides a witty and whimsical view of fashion and pop culture where Lady Gaga reigns supreme." Lady Saga has even been featured on LadyGaga.com and sold nationally at designer Marc Jacobs stores. Bluewater's Fame focuses on culturally relevant celebrities and other pop culture icons. Issues feature such personalities as Robert Pattinson, 50 Cent, Kristin Stewart, David Beckham and Taylor Swift. "Fame gives us the ability to tell more interesting stories about a wider variety of notable personalities. Conversely, it allows us to focus the scope of our other biography titles (Female Force and Political Power) to more socially and political important figures." Davis added. To order the book contact your local comic book store by going to www.comicshoplocator.com or go to Amazon.com. The suggested retail price (SRP) for the upcoming comic series is $3.99.
