QUESTION1:
CRYSTAL: IN YOUR SPARE TIME, WHAT ARE A FEW THINGS THAT YOU LIKE TO DO TO RELAX?
DARREN: Relax, that is a joke!   I never relax - I am always working doing something.    I do love spending time with my family.   A perfect day for me is sitting with my family at home playing Yatzee or Gin Rummy watching my cat kneed my dog.    I also have become obsessed with TV on DVD - some of the best shows I watch are "The Dick Van Dyke Show"," The Odd Couple" ,   "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" & now I am watching "Green Acres"

QUESTION 2:
CRYSTAL: WHAT ARE SOME MOMENTS IN YOUR LIFE THAT YOU WOULD CONSIDER CHARACTER DEFINING?
DARREN: There are two many that are extremely personal -- but a couple of career moments that I would share is meeting Brandon Tartikoff (who used to run NBC).   I was working at USA Networks and always a fan of his.   I met him at a book signing that he was having and introduced myself to him.   He spent 15 minutes with me talking to me about my career.   After that he left NBC and started producing shows at USA Networks, he would come in before his meeting and pop his head into my office to say hi.   Another one would be the day the 10th Muse #1 came out in 2001 and was the 6th highest selling comic.   We had national media coverage and to see my name on Entertainment Tonight was amazing.

QUESTION 3: WHAT KEEPS YOU AWAKE AT NIGHT?
CRYSTAL:
DARREN: Right now -- the sound of my fish tank.   You think this would be relaxing, but it drives me nuts.

QUESTION 4:
CRYSTAL: IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE, WHICH COULD YOU LIVE WITHOUT: TV, INTERNET, TELEPHONE, FRIENDS
DARREN: None - I would rather cut off my hand than answer that.   Television was my baby-sitter growing up. Before TV on DVD, I used to have all the "Moonlighting's" on videotape that I taped straight from the TV.   I would love to bring that back as a comic series!    If I did not have Internet, I could not work in comics! The telephone is always attached to my ear.   My friends are one of the most important things in my life and I could never live without them.

QUESTION 5:
CRYSTAL: TELL THE PEOPLE ONE THING ABOUT YOU THAT NO ONE ELSE KNOWS?
DARREN: In college, I worked my way through college as an extra in a bunch of TV shows.   Some of the really fun ones you can see me in are the movie "Say Anything," television shows "Moonlighting," "The New Gidget," "The New Leave it to Beaver," "Houston Knights" & a ton of bad Disney movies!   I wanted to be an actor so bad, but I was awful.   I was only up for one ABC series about a modern day Bewitched.   The most airtime I got was when I worked at E! Entertainment Television and was on a bunch of "Talk Soup" skits.

QUESTION 6:
CRYSTAL:IF YOU COULD CHANGE ONE THING IN THIS WORLD, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
DARREN: I don't think I would change anything.   Everything happens for a reason and I do not think I am qualified to answer world issues :)

QUESTION 7:
CRYSTAL: I DO A LOT OF CHARITY WORK AND DEAL WITH THE PUBLIC ON A ONE ON ONE BASIS DAILY. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CHARITY OR CAUSE?
DARREN: I try to do a lot with the community I live in.   I do a lot with the libraries in Bellingham.   Teaching kids about comics which in turn gets kids reading.   As a kid I was really lazy in school and hated reading but through comics I started to read better. With kids playing videogames so much, they are not reading.   My goal to get more kids interested in reading.     For Bluewater we have opened the door to a bunch of social issues such as HIV awareness, animal rights to the Energy commission.  

QUESTION 8:
CRYSTAL: Favorite Snack?
DARREN: Beef Jerky, Funyuns with an Ice Tea Snapple.   Nothing says road trip better than these!

QUESTION 9:
CRYSTAL: THE FOLLOWING ARE HUGE NAMES BLUEWATER: SHATNER, PRICE, HARRYHAUSEN, CORMAN. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE PROGRESS BLUEWATER HAS MADE??ANY REGRETS??
DARREN:   I don't have regrets to be honest.   If not for the mistakes as well as the good things that has happened, Bluewater would not be in the place where it is at.   I am extremely proud of this company and what it puts out.   I have had so many people help out with all of this.   Chris Studabaker is my right arm.   Jason Schultz who is the VP of the company really made this company progress to a place I never dreamed of.   We are on national DVD's and have giant promotions because of what he brought to the table.   Also the creative teams are a huge part of this process.

QUESTION 10:
CRYSTAL: IF YOU COULD CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT ME, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND WHY? THINK REAL HARD BEFORE YOU ANSWER.
DARREN: That's an easy one.   I would change where you live!   So we could near each other and hang out.   For those that do not know, Superfan has become one of my best friends over the years.
